Who Are You?

WHO are YOU? Who are you who are leading the charge against a movie director for producing a movie based on the Christian Gospels AND the Old Testament?

But WHO are you? This writer knows who you are. Many, many alert Americans know who you are.

And you know who you are.

But now - because of your vicious attacks on The Passion of the Christ -- Mel Gibson fans everywhere, all Christians everywhere, all Moslems everywhere, and all people - especially young people -- of full or partial Jewish heritage, and all people of good will everywhere -- urgently need to know who YOU are.)

As already hinted in this Open Letter, YOU are the modern day Pharisees! You are LITERALLY, the direct spiritual descendents of those who engineered the crucifixion of Christ, put him on trial in the middle of the night, handed him over to Pontius Pilate, and then pressured Pilate -- with threats of rebellion and reporting him back to Caesar -- to crucify Jesus Christ against the Roman Governor's better judgment.

[Incidentally, Rabbi Marvin Hier, in one of his appearances on The O'Reilly Factor in 2003 concerning the upcoming Gibson movie on Christ, stated that there was no trial of Jesus at night by the Sanhedrin (Jewish authorities of the time). Hier said (paraphrase), "Courts don't meet at night. The Supreme Court doesn't meet at night." Newsflash to Hier: Kangaroo courts meet at night. Courts that are ashamed of what they are doing meet at night. Courts that are trying to get a pre-determined verdict without too many people watching meet at night.]

Now, before we get to the iron-clad documentation of WHO you are, it is not hard to discern that you are the modern day descendents of the Pharisees, for just as they strove to oppose Jesus Christ and put Him to death, you have striven as mightily as you dare to oppose this movie, The Passion of the Christ, and to "kill the movie" altogether, if you could have figured out how to do it. In fact, New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind, had the gall to call for all movie theaters and all distribution companies to block the movie from theaters in a demonstration he held in late August, 2003 in New York City. 20th Century Fox, owned by Rupert Murdoch, announced 20 minutes after the demonstration that they would not distribute the movie.

And, furthermore, the New York Daily Post reports on August 29, 2003 that, "Shulamit Hawtof, a Jewish administrative assistant from Borough Park, Brooklyn, didn't even want the movie go direct to video. 'I would like to see it buried, frankly,' she said." I guess she thought the first amendment needed a "time-out."

As the late, great Irish priest, Fr. Denis Fahey (1883-1954) put it:

"The same forces that resisted and persecuted our Lord Jesus Christ during His Life on earth resist and persecute Him down the ages in His Mystical Body." (The Mystical Body of Christ the Modern World, Foreword, page XVII). In another work, The Rulers of Russia (1938), Dr. Fahey wrote the following: "This book shows Bolshevism [Communism] in its proper perspective, namely, as the most recent development in the age-long struggle [2000 years] waged by [the Leaders] of the Jewish Nation against the Supernatural Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ, and his Mystical Body..." [words in brackets were added by this writer.]

Likewise, we might say that the current campaign by Jewish Leaders - such as YOU Messrs. Foxman, Hier, Rich, and Rudin -- against Mel Gibson and The Passion of the Christ movie is the most recent HIGH PROFILE development in the 2000 year struggle against Christ and Christian civilization by the Pharisees. (You are also doing plenty under the table, unnoticed by the vast majority of the world, but we will get to that in other sections.)

Now to the proof from official modern day Jewish sources, that YOU, Rabbi Hier, Rabbi Ruden, Mr. Frank Rich, and Abraham Foxman, ARE the literal modern day Pharisees, direct spiritual descendents of those who engineered the crucifixion of Christ:

"The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Their leading ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent, of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the largest and most important single piece of that literature . . . and the study of it is essential for any real understanding of Pharisaism." (Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, pg. 474, 1943)

[Writer's Note: What is this dark word, Talmud? This word so unknown to the vast majority of Christians and non-Jews. We will get to that in a bit.]

Next:

"With the destruction of the Temple (70 A.D.) the Sadduccees disappeared altogether, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the Pharisees; the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view, and a new aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older priestly tradition (Abot 1:1). Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future. (1905 Jewish Encyclical)

[Writer's Note: Some may say, aren't these sources pretty old? Old, yes. But still relevant and still applicable to today. Mr. Hoffman shows beyond a shadow of any doubt that modern day Judaism is NOT, I repeat, NOT, the Old Testament faith of the Hebrew people. Next:

"Pharasaism became Talmudism . . . . But the spirit of the ancient Pharisee survives unaltered. When the Jew . . . studies the Talmud. He is actually repeating the arguments used in the Palestinian academies. From Palestine to Babylonia; from Babylonia to North Africa, Italy, Spain, France and Germany; from these to Poland, Russia and Eastern Europe generally, ancient Pharasaism has wandered. (From his two volume work, "The Pharisees", Volume I, by Rabbi Louis Finkelstein, 1946.)

Let's repeat that first line from Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, pg. 474, 1943 edition - the line which says it all, but this time with emphasis added by this writer:

"The Jewish religion as it is TODAY traces its descent, WITHOUT A BREAK, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees." (Universal Jewish Encyclopedia, pg. 474, 1943)

Thus, the conclusion is: the Pharasaism which existed in the time of Christ, still exists today; and, since you, Sirs, follow Talmudism, you are four powerful voices for the modern day Pharisees.

Your predecessors in the first century engineered the crucifixion of Christ and fought Christianity tooth and nail, such as in the vicious stoning of St. Stephen in the Acts of the Apostles, who, emulating his Savior, died with a prayer for the forgiveness of his persecutors on this lips.

In the true but unholy tradition of the Pharisees, YOU are trying to engineer the crucifixion of (via smear-campaign publicity) of The Passion of the Christ, as well as Mel Gibson, Jim Caviezel, and who knows who else associated with the movie.

So THAT's who you are: modern day Pharisees, quite literally.
